Cut-down Letterpress Trays
Bringing broken full-size letterpress trays back to a life ...
Amongst my collection of letterpress trays I have several that have damage. Some have severe woodworm to one end, some have simply been abused and are broken in parts.
Rather than discard them I have been cutting these trays down to make one-third and two-third sized trays.
After a good wash and a wax, they reveal their full character including the owrn and ink stained base paper inserted between the dividers and back when first made.
